One of the nation’s oldest and most prestigious organizations, founded in 1911, the Club facilitates strategic relationship development, intellectual exchange and development of future leaders. Through our Global Leaders, Women’s Leadership, Chicago CEO Series and other programming, we bring together business, civic and academic leaders from all industries to discuss strategies that address challenges and opportunities affecting Chicago and the world.
The Executives’ Club of Chicago’s Board of Directors is composed of 46 CEOs and senior executives of top companies headquartered in Chicagoland. The Board of Directors elects a chairman, two vice chairman, secretary, and treasurer. The New Leaders Board, formed in 2004, drives the agenda for the Club’s New Leaders Circle. Each of the Club’s eight Committees is led by Co-Chairs who represent Chicago’s who’s who in industry leadership. Committee-initiated thought leadership programs are developed and advanced by these dynamic individuals, appointed by the Chairman.
The Club has established eight Committees to support members’ professional interests and drive thought leadership for the Club’s programming. Committees range from 40 to 80 Club members and provide a forum to build relationships and discuss issues that will shape the global community in the 21st century. Committee programs include annual general meetings, breakfast briefings, and other activities designed by the members. Serving on a Committee is a membership benefit of the Club. Committee members are expected to participate in Committee programs, actively contribute topics of interest, and nominate two new members each season to keep The Club vital. To apply for Committee membership, please complete the Committee Application. Final appointment is by confirmation of the Chairman.
Club members come from 25 major industry sectors, including finance, healthcare, insurance, law, technology, manufacturing, marketing/communications, real estate, and retail. The Club’s membership includes not only business leaders, but also leaders of Midwest philanthropic institutions, universities, colleges, and state and national governments, including many members of the international diplomatic community. Club membership is by invitation only, with new members nominated by current members. Members are nominated to and accepted by The Executives’ Club of Chicago without regard to gender, race, religion or age. For more information regarding membership please contact Rebecca Reid, Membership Manager at rreid@executivesclub.org.
The Executives’ Club’s portfolio of 60+ programs each year presents the most influential global thinkers and doers.
